Ad House Advertising has been continually expanding, and we’re proud to announce the addition of a new Production Assistant to our team! Chelsea Nanawa joins Ad House Advertising with a rich film background and a fresh perspective on cinematography and video production.
Chelsea has always had a strong interest in movies, and when she was younger, she wanted to be an actress. At a young age, she started performing in plays and musicals, and attending acting camps. She quickly realized though, that her real passion was not for acting, but for camera work and cinematography. While studying media arts at the University of New Mexico, Chelsea received the Cinephile Scholarship and one of 20 spots at the Telluride Film Festival. She was also honored with the Gus Blaisdell Award for Critical Writing on Film Theory. Chelsea graduated summa cum laude from UNM.
Chelsea is involved with a local nonprofit called Basement Films, an organization dedicated to reinvigorating an interest in independent and experimental film. Basement Films educates the community and exposes people to a world of cinema that might not otherwise be explored. Chelsea loves to work on projects that challenge the norm and examine social constructs, much of her work with Basement Films is designed to provoke questions and open-ended interpretation.
In her role as Production Assistant at Ad House Advertising and Edit House Productions LLC, Chelsea has been assisting with productions, setting up and tearing down equipment, writing scripts, monitoring sound, creating graphics, and editing video content. Chelsea’s extensive technical expertise coupled with attention to detail make her an outstanding addition to our team!
Outside of film, Chelsea loves to sing, play piano, guitar, and dance. She is also interested in fitness and nutrition. Chelsea spends a lot of time camping and hiking, and says that much of her inspiration for videography comes from nature. We are excited to welcome her to Ad House Advertising and Edit House Productions!
